Clyde W. “Wilkie” Lawson, age 87, of Magnolia, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN.
He was a member of Three Forks Bacon Creek Baptist Church, retired from Ft. Knox, repaired countless milk coolers and HVAC systems in the community and was one of the regulars at the old Magnolia Stop & Shop.
Wilkie was preceded in death by a son, Steve Lawson; his parents, Luther Cheek and Mary Elizabeth Davis Lawson and two brothers, William Luther “Babe” and Kenneth Wayne “Tiny” Lawson.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Mae Cruse Lawson; a daughter, Sherry (Ron) Knox of Henryville, IN; four grandchildren, Kristy (Brandon) Bischoff, Allison (Michael) Willen, Zachary Knox and Kelly Knox and three great-grandchildren, Easton, Sammy and Ellie Mae Willen.
Funeral services will held at 11 a.m. (ET), Tuesday, February 10, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Revs. Gary Talley and Glen Routt officiating. Burial will follow in Hammonsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. (ET), Monday and after 9 a.m. (ET), Tuesday at the funeral home.
